A superb Swedish large scale oil painting on canvas of 3 farm workers cutting the hay by hand. Painterly loose brush strokes create texture of the hay and the warm colour palette of golden yellows , ochres and blues is intense. This is an impressive and captivating piece of art.
There is a small amout of wear on the edges of the canvas due to it age. Please see photos. Signed Joy Egnel in bottom right hand corner. Dated 1945 on the reverse.
